Reviews Work Flow

quick color guide

Light blue, yellow and pale yellow info fields cannot be changed

...but Yellow buttons can be used

1. Make sure you are logged in to your IMVU account. There are two ways of proceeding - depending which you prefer - but A is more convenient, B is for current users who wish to continure using it.

A. Click Import Logs in the top menu bar then press the Download Products button. This will open your browse and go to the product list, wait 8 seconds and then press the CSV button on that page - this downloads a text file with your products.

-OR- B. see below

Go back to the program.

2.

A. From Import Logs, press the Products button

-OR- B. see below

click the button Import from CSV - the downloaded text file will be read and imported into the progam database. Wait till its done, then OK to close the window.

3. Click Made Products 1 in the top menu bar - a list of your products appears - take a look and see if it looks correct - click Close.

4. Position the small login window in the bottom right of your screen. As you proceed - make sure to keep this window visable so you you can stop or pause the review scan. In the next step, the Search for Reviews window will always start on the top left and the results will be in the top right.

5. Click Search for Reviews in the top menu bar - two windowa will appear- the larger one is a list of reviews in order as they are found not by date or product. Leave the small window  in the top left and you may move the other window where you want. Press the yellow Start button and wait for completion. As reviews are found they appear in the large window.

As it scans small windows will pop up to reassure you that things are happening. Do not close or hit OK on these. Fetching product review shows each time a product is checked, sometimes this window may stay up for a minute or so -  this is usually because it is checking an AP product for the first time, and you will get a warning message. Getting Customer ID shows when its checking the reviewer/buyer name, this can pop up and close very fast or take a minute or so, its unpredictable.

When search is running - you may pause or stop it from the small Active Login window. Pause lets you go do something else in the computer and then resume. Stop Batch will have saved reviews found so far, but when restarted it goes back through all products and scans again. If you restart the same day, you should check off Scan Stale Only to avoid rescanning the ones already done.

New entries are marked in yellow on the right. Product Name is color coded to indicate how many Jalapenos. AP products are marked with a RED R, User names are flagged in color to warn of access errors. Green is good, red is not.

On the first run, the program will try to find AP products, and this will take longer. It will then flag them as AP in the Made Products list. The value in AP Marked Count will increase, but these products will not be checked for reviews until the next scan.

Error and warning messages will appear as required, most error message will display for only a short  time and the program will continue. After the scan is finished, click Message Log  to see all messages.

Look at Browse the MadeProductsReview to see results.

Each user giving reviews is looked up to find their IMVU number. Some users will not be found and will be flagged in orange. It is normal that some users will not be found.

Web access error - but will be found next scan

User never logged in

Was disabled or removed by IMVU, but the name was not  changed to include _disabled_

If new AP products were found the AP marked count is not zero  and they wer not scanned for reviews. Rerun scan without Scan Stale only and with Process AP only

If you restart scan, it will go through all your products. If yo restart the same day,  do itwith Scan Stale only ON, this will ignore products scanned in the last 1 or 2  days.

Messages

Note that most messages have a timeout and will disapear within a few seconds. You can press Ok to proceed if you dont want to wait. All messages are logged - click Message Log from the toolbar. Messages that suspend processing indicate more serious errors.

Review Counts mismatch

1. Note the product name and the two numbers, then press Stop Batch and then Ok. That product should be at the top of the review list. Alt+Double click the product name and see if there are duplicate reviews. Starting at the top, delete the duplicates [delete and then Yes]   If there are no duplicates then please report this problem.

2. Then Made Products 1 and search for the product name, double click, go to Review tab and change the review pages to be  0, review date to be blank. click OK. close the MadeProducts window.  Ensure Scan Stale only check box is clicked  and Start the scan again.

If the same problem happens again immediately, then delete all of  the reviews for that product and repeat from step 2.

Limitations

Scanning may be slow if you have many prodcuts and a lot of reviews. Scanning will be very slow the first time you do it. A list of 1000 producst might take 3  hours. The next time the scan is done, it will go much faster probably about 20  minutes

Alternate flow

B. Click Import Products CSV in the top menu bar - a window should display

B. Press the small P button on the the bottom right of the small Login window- this will open your browse and go to the product list, wait 8 seconds and then press the CSV button on that page - this downloads a text file with your products.

For program version 00.01.0000.0214 and earlier, you must make sure to delete the previous downloaded producstlist.csv. Later versions will delete if Delete CSV on Close is checked on the Import window.
